Summary
- The website has no forms and no user accounts.
- We only use cookies for statistics (Google Analytics) and for seeing which companies visit us (Upsales) if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time under “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
- When you email us or book a demo, we use your details to answer you and to arrange the meeting.
- We never sell personal data.
When you visit the website
The website is hosted on Microsoft Azure (Azure Static Web Apps). To deliver the pages and protect the service, the hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. This is necessary to run the website (legitimate interest, GDPR article 6.1 f).
Fonts and images are served from our own website; we do not load fonts from Google or other third parties.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser.
| What | Purpose | Duration | Set |
|---|---|---|---|
otisco-consent (local storage, not a cookie) |
Remembers your choice in the cookie banner | 12 months | Always; necessary for the banner to work |
_ga, _ga_<ID> (Google Analytics) |
Statistics: which pages are visited, roughly from where, and on which devices | Up to 2 years | Only if you accept |
__upsales_v_<ID>_tracker, __upsales_v_<ID>_session (Upsales) |
Which pages a visitor views, recognised across visits, so we can see which companies visit us | 2 years (tracker), 2 hours (session) | Only if you accept |
Google Analytics. If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used, so that we can improve it. Google Analytics uses pseudonymous identifiers; IP addresses are not stored in Google Analytics 4. We use Google Consent Mode: advertising features are always switched off, and no Google script is loaded until you accept. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR article 6.1 a). You can withdraw it at any time under “Cookie settings”; we then stop collecting and remove the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
Upsales. If you accept, we also use Upsales, our customer relationship management system, to see which pages are visited. For each page view, Upsales receives the page address and title, the page you came from, your IP address and a random identifier stored in the Upsales cookies. From the IP address, Upsales identifies which company the visit probably comes from, so that we can follow up with companies that show an interest in Otisco. If you are already a contact in our customer system, for example after a meeting or an email from us, the visits can be linked to you. We keep the visit data in Upsales as long as it is useful for the business relationship. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR article 6.1 a). You can withdraw it at any time under “Cookie settings”; we then stop the tracking and remove the Upsales cookies from your browser.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. See allaboutcookies.org.
When you contact us or book a demo
When you email us, call us or book a demo through our booking page (provided by Upsales), we process the details you give us: typically your name, email address, phone number, company, role, and what the message or meeting is about.
We use them to answer your question, arrange and hold the meeting, and follow up on it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and developing business relationships (GDPR article 6.1 f), or steps before entering into a contract with your company (article 6.1 b).
We keep the details for as long as needed for the dialogue and the business relationship, and delete them when they are no longer needed. If you ask us not to contact you again, we stop doing so.
Who we share data with
We use suppliers that process personal data on our behalf (processors), under data processing agreements:
- Microsoft (website hosting, email),
- Upsales (customer relationship management, the booking page and, only with your consent, website visits),
- Google (Google Analytics, only with your consent).
We do not sell personal data and do not share it with others unless the law requires it.
Transfers outside the EU/EEA
Some suppliers (Google and Microsoft) may process data outside the EU/EEA, for example in the USA. Such transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you,
- have incorrect data corrected,
- have data deleted,
- restrict processing,
- object to processing based on legitimate interest,
- receive your data in a portable format (data portability),
- withdraw your consent at any time (for Google Analytics: under “Cookie settings”).
To use your rights, email info@otisco.se or write to Otisco AB, Stationsvägen 18, 184 50 Åkersberga, Sweden. We answer within one month.
If you think we handle your personal data incorrectly, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), www.imy.se, Box 8114, 104 20 Stockholm, Sweden.
